Armed robbery at Kangaroo
At about 8:50 p.m Monday, two men with guns robbed the Kangaroo store at Ashley River and Parsonage roads and made off with about $700, said sheriff's Maj. John Clark. He said no one was hurt.

Scottish Festival 2008
The 37th annual Charleston Scottish Games and Highland Gathering held at Boone Hall Plantation Saturday, Sept. 22, featured all things Scottish including dancing, drumming, piping and ethnic food. The Scottish Society of Charleston sponsors the annual event. Proceeds are donated to local charities and provide scholarships for Scottish activities.
