Back in my day, the ocean did the job. Did the ocean go on strike? Let's let the "sand patrol" do something better with the taxpayer's money - like fight crime.

Funny, I read this article this morning online and this afternoon, it was on the local news here in central Texas. They think it is pretty stupid considering the crime rate in the Charleston area. I think time would be better spent chasing down drug dealers, gun dealers and violent offenders then trying to catch kids walking away from sandcastles that they built. The ocean will take care of sandcastles on it's own, it always did when we built them...sometimes right in the middle of building them! Don't take fun away from kids, take violence off the streets to protect the kids.

I'm sorry, this is all just ridiculous. Unenforceable, a PR bombshell, and a complete waste of resources. There is no way this will ever happen.

"They think it is pretty stupid considering the crime rate in the Charleston area."

North Charleston, select areas of the City of Charleston, yes. Isle of Palms, nope.

Thanks marky Mark
