While the votes are few at this time it looks like someone needs to pay attention to something other than their wallet.

The Highways, roads, and streets in the Tricounty are over crowed. Where use to take 30 to 45 minutes to get to work is now taking one to two hours. We need to find a solution for the over crowded roads before there is anymore building.

perhaps living 30-45 minutes away from you job is the problem? YOU'RE the overcrowding.

What I find alarming is that certain municipalities approve projects that contribute to sprawl, while denying approval for infill sites of the same magnitude, or less. This is what truly taxes our road system and continues to add to congestion. East Edisto will at least be an attempt to contain this growth and provide an avenue for live, work and play communities. If it takes you two hours to drive to work from the outskirts of the Tri-County then pack your bags and move to Park Circle. It is affordable, attractive and will cut your commute by 3/4. Until then, stop complaining.

The problem this area is having is because we are always playing catch-up. When you do that you will always pay twice as much as if you would had you done proper planning. The cost for new infrastructure should be placed on those causing the problem, not on those who have already paid the price. Those gaining the most from new developments are the ones currently paying the least and are least effected by the sprawl.
