My 2 year old daughter attends The Sunshine House off Folly Road. She has been there since July 2007 and she loves it there. All she talks about is how she wants to stay there than leave and she enjoys talking to the Ms. Wagoner (director) and her current and past teachers that she knows. Her first day of school there was excellent. She saw all of the other kids, said hello to the teachers and went about it like a pro. I was astonished because I thought she was going to be upset.

The facility is nice except for the current bridge construction which makes it a little tough in the mornings to get around in the parking lot, but picking her up from school with a "I'm ready to go back" attitude makes my day. The Sunshine House has had some events around the holidays and we have attended all but the last event we missed was Pancake Palooza which took place this past Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008. Inside, each classroom has its own curriculum for the kids; it's clean inside the school. Most mornings when we arrive, we smell the food cooking in the kitchen. The kids are cared for and I've met a few of the teachers that work or have worked with my daughter or at our events. It's a friendly environment and I have no worries of enrolling my 11 month old son. I still breast feed him and for now he stays with me. I enrolled my child because it's not too far from home and I've checked them out once before when my daughter was 9 months old and they were full in her class.
