The park, operated by Charleston County, provides public access to the beach on Kiawah Island with showers and dressing rooms, plus a picnic area overlooking the marsh. Lifeguards, a snack bar and beach rentals are available part of the year. Surfing is allowed. Pets must be on a leash at all times. The park is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. during the summer.
