Berkeley woman missing since May 6

Saturday, May 17, 2008

— A Berkeley County woman who has epilepsy has been missing since May 6 when she wandered away from the family’s Windwood Subdivision home.

The family of Teresa Jo Moore, 45, has filed a report with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s office and posted fliers in the area, her brother, Steve Hammond said.

“She has not had any medication and it is almost a life dependency for her,” he said.

Hammond said he last saw his sister walking up the driveway of their property on Autumn Lane, but he thought she was going to check the mailbox. The family later realized Moore had not returned home. A friend told the family they saw her walking on U.S. Highway 17A with a Hispanic man on a red bicycle. They were walking toward Moncks Corner, Hammond said.

Moore was last seen wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans. She is 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds, Hammond said. She has brown eyes and very short brown hair.

Anyone with information on Moore is asked to call the Berkeley County Sheriff’s office at 843-719-4465.

Please, help this man, Earl Moore, find his wife Terry. He has attempted to have the Berkeley County Sheriff's office help him get the news out about his wife's disappearance for 11 days with no answers from the police. It took a total stranger to call SLED, the FBI, the Berkely County Solicitor's office, the Watch Commander at the sheriff's office, then 4 tv stations, and the Post and Courier. Andy Lyons was the first person to even show any interest in helping this man find his wife. Thank you, Andy. Thank you, Nita.
