GOOSE CREEK — A man was shot in the hand Wednesday when he opened the door to a stranger's knock at his home in the Bushy Park Terrace neighborhood, according to a police report released Thursday. The 21-year-old gunshot victim told police he opened the door even though he didn't recognize the man who came knocking around 12:10 p.m., a report said. The man asked if "Justin" was there. When he was told no, the man pulled out a gun and the two began to struggle, the report said. After the shots were fired, the man ran away. Neighbors told police they heard two gunshots. To provide information about the robbery, call Goose Creek police at 572-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.

A few adjectives would have made this more enjoyable to read. Harpo, you're dead-on, as usual. I really want to know more about this fella, Justin...

I hope the guy's hand is not permanently damaged...if he is completely innocent in this situation, then that really sucks to just randomly get shot on a Wednesday afternoon.

_guy
I agree with that. Could you imagine opening your door and someone pulling a gun? Talk about surprise.

That's why I do not open my door for anyone and my screen door is always locked.

I can 100% guarantee that what is written in that story is not what happened. the "victim" is lying

the neighbors are actually my family members and yes the shooter and two others were at the home. one guy was arrested outside and truck search revelaed dope. sounds like drug money owed and they wanted to collect from justin. anyway the shooter got away and even the dogs could not find him. sad.

The victim should sue the homeowner. This is not a castle doctine case. The victim did not have a weapon or pose a threat. The victim was looking for someone and had the wrong house.

Harpo,As in this case and many others the reason the P&C and local TV staions do not put out the race of the suspect is because they do not want people like yourself taking stats of who is doing the robberies, shootings, murders and other crimes in our communities. But we know who is doing the most crime and that person is most likey a Bravo Mike, late teens or early 20's,5'9" to 6'2",Eyes:brown,Hair:BLK,last seen wearing black pants, white t-shirt also maybe a hoody also maybe driving a late model Chevy Carprice or Ford Crown Vic with 22" or 24" rim's with lettering on the car that might read M&M's,Scittles,Red Hots (all street slang for drugs)..the news media and local LE think the public doesnt take note on who is doing the crime, but they are wrong.Get out and Vote,Vote out mayors who talk the talk but dont walk the walk, that go's for city counsel,Sheriff's and any elected offical who response to crime, illegal aliens as a passing thing.Thats BS and we all kknow that. VOTE,VOTE
