The Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center in Awendaw will host a "Walk in the Woods" program for National Wildflower Week, featuring botanist Robin Mackie of the Francis Marion and Sumter national forests at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Mackie will take participants to an area of peak bloom or botanical interest in the Francis Marion forest. The group will meet at the Sewee Center. Participants are urged to bring water, insect repellent, a camera and binoculars.

The walk is free but limited in number. Advanced registration is requested by calling 928-3368.
