What a spring it's been! Not only gorgeous weather, but headliner weekends with the Cooper River Bridge Run, the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament, two seafood festivals, the Charleston Air Show, the inaugural Dragon Boat Festival and AVP Charleston Open pro volleyball tournament. Next up ... the sixth annual Charleston Harbor Fest, formerly known as the Charleston Maritime Festival and Tall Ships Charleston, Friday through Sunday at the Charleston Maritime Center and other sites. In its short history, Harbor Fest has evolved into a multifaceted festival that celebrates life and heritage on the water. Some activities will include tall ship tours, sailing lessons, pirate costume contest and parade, family boat building, helicopter tours of the harbor and the Water Action Village Expo.
