Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding Inc. , a nationally accredited therapeutic horseback- riding center, will hold its annual Spring Horse Show 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the center, 2669 Hamilton Road on Johns Island. The nonprofit organization helps children and adults with mental and physical disabilities gain a sense of accomplishment through horseback riding. Nearly 60 of the center's 130 students will participate in the horse show, which is free and open to spectators. A fundraising lunch ($30 suggested donation) will be held at 11:30 a.m. RSVP for the lunch by 5 p.m. today at 559-6040. More at catr-therapeuticriding.org. -- David Quick |
