The Charleston Department of Recreation has scheduled the following events. Call 724-7327 or e-mail recre ation@ci.charleston.sc.us for a brochure with a listing of all events and services. For information, call the numbers listed or visit www.charles toncity.info/recreation.

Programs and announcements

Youth & Adult Healthy Lifestyle Jamboree: 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. May 31 at Burke High School and Harmon Field Park. President Street. Day includes workshops and physical activities. 8 a.m. Fun Walk/5K/1 Mile. Meet at Harmon Field Park at 7:45 a.m. Advance registration is required.

Therapeutic Recreation: Register for basketball (ongoing), tennis (ongoing), cheer (ongoing) and swim. Call Shelli Davis, therapeutic recreation coordinator, at 769-8284.

Daniel Island Kids Triathlon: June 21. Ages: 7-14. $30 entry fee includes race shirt. Participants will have the opportunity to compete against other children in a kid-specific sprint triathlon with distances tailored to different age groups. Call 216-6366 for more information.

27th Annual Lowcountry Soccer Festival: May 24-26. Open to all registered USASA teams. Divisions: Men's: Open, Men's II, Men's III, Masters I (over 30), Masters II (over 35), Silver Masters (over 40), Golden Masters (over 50) and Premier Masters (over 55). All out-of-state teams must provide approved travel papers from their home state association. Player passes are required. Coed teams are not required to provide player passes and travel papers, however photo IDs (driver's license) will be required. Call 769-8243 for more information.
