GOP to host debate for solicitor hopefuls

The Charleston County Republican Party is sponsoring a debate of the two GOP candidates for 9th Circuit Solicitor on Monday at the party's regular executive committee meeting.

Blair Jennings and Scarlett Wilson will be at North Charleston City Hall at 7 p.m.

Bill Sharpe of WCSC Live 5 News, will moderate the debate with panelists Rocky D of WTMA's Rocky D Show, and Stovall Witte, former chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Henry Brown.

The Charleston County Republican Party meets at the North Charleston City Hall Chambers, 4900 Lacrosse St.

The event is open to the public but seating is limited. Additional information and directions to the meeting may be found at www.charlestongop.org.

Well this event should prove to be interesting.

Wonder if the citizens can send in questions they'd like to see answered by the candidates for the moderators to consider?
