Mother's Day --The Woodlands Resort and Inn will serve a special Mother's Day brunch complete with dessert buffet, pianist and photographer on hand to celebrate this special occasion. Brunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $69 per person and $25 for children under 12. Photographer Kim Gissendanner will be available for family photographs in the gardens. Reservations can be made by calling 308-2115. To schedule a time for your family photograph, contact Gissendanner at 769-5020. Moms will receive a special gift along with the brunch and dessert buffet. The Woodlands Resort and Inn is located at 125 Parsons Road, Summerville. Chef Tarver King also has developed a new a la carte menu for diners who prefer to select their own dining choices compared to the multicourse fixed menu also offered at Woodlands Resort and Inn. --Tristan Restaurant will be pouring rose champagne for all mothers on Mother's Day and for each mom dining with them, a donation will be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Tristan will be serving Sunday brunch, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; lunch, 11:30-2:30; and dinner at 5:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 534-2155 or visit www.tristandining.com. --Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m., McCrady's Restaurant, 2 Unity Alley, will celebrate Mother's Day with a special three-course dinner. There will be several menu choices featured in each course. For reservations and information, call 577-0025, or see www.mccradysrestaurant.com.
--All Maverick Southern Kitchens' properties will be open on Mother's Day. Menus can be viewed online at www.mavericksouthernkitchens.com, and reservations can be made online or by phone. Slightly North of Broad (723-3424) will be open for brunch 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; High Cotton (724-3815) and The Old Village Post House (388-8935) will serve brunch 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner 5:30-10 p.m.; And Charleston Cooks! (722-1212) will offer a demonstration cooking class at 2 p.m. for $30 per person.
--Relish Downtown, 114 Central Ave., Summerville, will serve brunch 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The cost of the meal is $18 for adults and $6 for children. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 821-7151. A sip and a stroll Summer wine strolls have begun again at Middleton Place. Walk through America's oldest landscaped gardens while sampling a variety of summer wines. If you find one you like, purchase a bottle at the Middleton Place Restaurant. Post House turns 5 The Old Village Post House will celebrate its fifth year with festivities and offerings throughout the restaurant. The celebration will take place 5:30-10 p.m. Tuesday. To celebrate, there will be drawings at each table for gifts and prizes and half-price on Veuve Clicquot champagne by the glass or bottle. There also will be complimentary enrollment for new members to Maverick Collection, a customer reward and membership program. Current Maverick Collection members will receive 50 birthday bonus points, a $50 value, in addition to purchase awards.
