Twisters excel 4 at Lake Murray

Six members of the Charleston Twisters gymnastics team won all-around awards at the Lake Murray Invitational March 7-9.

The Twisters, who train at Davita's Funtastic Gymnastics in Ladson, also tied for first in the Level 4 scoring but had to settle for a second-place trophy after the tie-breaking criteria was applied.

Level 4 performers Reilly Keen, Alex Enzinna, Sydney Scott and Raena Burns each won the all-around awards in their respective age divisions. Laney LeSchack and Moria Ivey were Level 5 overall winners.

Keen was a winner on the beam, Enzinna and Scott each won on bars and beam, and Burns won on vault and bars. Also in Level 4 competition, Morgan Gossett won on bars.

In Level 5, LeSchack was first on vault, beam and floor, and Ivey was first on vault and bars.

Olivia Otter won on vault and floor, and Carissa Rhodes won on bars and beam.

Level 9 gymnast Victoria Ivey won on floor.

Registration for TCE cheerleaders

The Tri County Elite cheerleaders will hold registration in three different locations over the next month. The organization is for ages 4 and up.

Club officials will be at Mount Pleasant Aerobics and Fitness at 1547 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. on April 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Sign-up will move to West Ashley Aerobics and Fitness at 466 Savannah Highway on April 9 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and to its Summerville location at 396-A East 5th North St. on April 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
