Dorchester 2 honors five finalist teachers

The Post and Courier
Friday, March 28, 2008

Five instructors in Dorchester District 2 remain in the running for the district's Teacher of the Year honor.

Either Elizabeth Crotty of Summerville Elementary, Jade Howard of Summerville High, Diana Hudgens of Oakbrook Middle, Cathy McClam of Fort Dorchester High or Timothy Thompson of Rollings Middle School of the Arts will be named as the district's overall award winner at a banquet and celebration scheduled for May 8.

The district announced the names of the five finalists Friday, all who have been selected as teacher of year at their schools. Charleston County unveiled its list of nominees last week, and Berkeley will do so next week.
