Toilet seat big clue to burglar's gender

Thursday, March 27, 2008

A female burglary victim deduced that a man must have broken into her North Charleston apartment because the toilet seat was left up.

The St. Johns Avenue resident was out of town for Easter and discovered the break-in when she returned Tuesday night and found the front door ajar, police said. A DVD and VCR were missing, according to a report. The burglar apparently left behind an empty 24-ounce soda bottle, police said.

Empty soda bottle? Did this idiot never hear of DNA testing?
Why not just put finder prints all over the windows too?
Man, some of these perps are really, really stupid people!

Empty soda bottle? Toilet seat left up? This clearly means the perp was a man.

...At least, that's what a master female thief would WANT you to believe. Mwah ha ha ha!!!...

I am wondering if it is meant to say a dvd PLAYER was missing. Why would someone just steal a dvd?

Seat up? Did he not flush either?
This was definitely a man, but not a gentleman. :)

Now, how's that for Charleston manners? In a public
washroom you're lucky if the previous user even flushed.

Harpo, I am assuming that you are talking about public men's rooms? :)
Public women's restrooms aren't usually any better.
Travel the interstates and use the restrooms. People everywhere don't always flush, or gross of all grossness, they don't wash their hands.
Manners have to be taught at home....no matter from which part of the country one hails.

The true philosophical debate here is, it is considerate to up the seat to avoid soiling the upper seat however that is negated by leaving it in the upright position essentially producing an etiquette stalemate, in my opinion...
