Opponents of illegal immigration to rally at Statehouse on Monday
Staff report
Saturday, March 8, 2008
Americans Have Had Enough Coalition, along with several other state groups, will meet at noon Monday at the Statehouse for a rally against illegal immigration. The groups have banded together as the "South Carolina Coalition on Immigration Control" while the Legislature works out the final details of a reform plan. The rally will take place on the north steps of the capitol building at Main and Gervais streets in Columbia. Critics say the Legislature's plan for dealing with illegal immigration won't be tough enough. House and Senate negotiators expect to have a final bill ready early next week for consideration by the full bodies. Legislators and candidates for office also are expected to attend, according to the Americans Have Had Enough Coalition. The coalition is looking for the Legislature to adopt a reform plan similar to the one recently passed in Arizona.

HooRay for Americans Have Had Enough Coalition! This is the true American spirit: when you don't like what the government is doing, set about changing it. I hope similar groups will be formed in every county and state. We need to exhibit that can-do attitude that has made America so great. It's going to be the Tea Party redux. I love it.

We need more protests and rallies by American Americans to combat the vocal and heavily media covered liberal leftists that yell and scream when they don't get enough of your tax money and want to throw their lifestyle in your face. If illegals can fill the streets of LA screaming for amnesty we need to do the same in bigger numbers to fight them. Why aren't marches on Washington done to call for the elimination of government waste and the IRS? American Americans need to band together quickly because our country needs lots of good change.

I agree that the ills of illegal immigration will not be addressed until Americans rise up in numbers that overwhelm the illegals who are marching in our streets and making demands on our government. They are taking the right action, but in the wrong country. They should take that same conduct back to their mother land and perhaps we would all be the better for it.
While I'm teetering up here on this soap box, let me add that the priests and other clergy who issue such heart-felt support for their plight should lead the charge back across the border. If they truly want to be of service, they should help them reform their OWN governments.

GO SOUTH CAROLINA! I wish I could be there to protest with you. It's time we take our Country back. This illegal immigration has been going on for far too long. Other States are stepping up to the plate. Delaware here, well, we are a little slow, but we are told that our Legislators are looking at the Oklahoma law. The problems this illegal immigration has caused has just been overwhelming to say the least. These problems WILL NOT go away until each and every ILLEGAL ALIEN is out of this Country and back in their own country. Hang in there South Carolina, and know I'm with you 100 percent! GET THE LAW PASSED!!!

Anyone that shows up to counter protest should be searched for a valid driver's license and SSN card.

Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) introduced the SAVE Act (H.R. 4088) on November 6, 2007, emphasizing the principles of Attrition Through Enforcement The SAVE Act will broaden and enhance border security and interior enforcement. With a number of Democrats (51 ) including 3 Senators and Republicans (96) that includes 5 Senators have already agreed to co-sponsor. This bipartisan effort may be Congress’s last chance to achieve substantial immigration reform this Congress, before the new pro-illegal immigrant President strides into Washington. The question is why are Democrats are not co-authoring the SAVE ACT in greater numbers? Democrats in my family are asking the same question?
Demand your representative co-sponsor the SAVE ACT. Fax for free your Senator or Congressman at NUMBERSUSA.COM
How long do taxpayers have to support pariah employers and the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in this nation?

The funny thing is SC House and Senate knows non legal workers are wrong for the state. The elected officals recieve alot of money from industries who need to have these people. They know that wihout funds they can't run for re election. The SC Chamber of Commerce pushes to keep things the way they are.

How I wish I lived in SC, if only for tomorrow's protest; I certainly wish i could be there!!
Way to go SC'ers!!
The only way this situation is going to get taken care of is to go at the local, and state, politicians; we have all been complaining to Congress, but we need, oh so much, to begin the onslaught on our state, and local, politicians.
I'm going to do a block email list for the CA State Senate, and the CA Assembly. I would suggest that others do the same; I'll put CA on a website and make it availeble to everyone I can. I'm at aol.com if anyone has anything put togther.
Let's take our country back!!

The most effective thing South Carolinians can do to quell illegal immigration is to vote out Lindsey Graham. His true character came out during the amnesty debacle in the U.S. Senate last year, and it wasn't pretty.
