MOUNT PLEASANT Town Hall is expanding into the Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co. building, a sleek, contemporary-looking structure with a mirror-glass exterior that the town is purchasing for $2.8 million. It will give the town a new, more visible presence on Houston Northcutt Boulevard. Currently, a sign on the boulevard denotes the presence of the 25,000-square-foot Town Hall down Anne Edwards Boulevard behind Thomas & Hutton, which is 10,000 square feet. Six trailers behind Town Hall house planning, finance and purchasing employees as well as administrative services and an employee break room. More space is needed, said Hillary Repik, stormwater program manager. She offered her crowded office as an example, and noted that it's been over seven years since the Town Hall had a major expansion. The Stormwater Management Division stores some records on Six-Mile Road, she said. The town is among the fastest growing in the state. Since 1990, its population has more than doubled to 63,000. Read more about the expansion plans in tomorrow's editions of The Post and Courier.

I have been curious about the trailer park of offices at the town hall. The town denies use of trailers for businesses in town, but it is ok for the town?
Glad to see they are mving into bigger accomodations.
