Several wrecks slowing area traffic

Freeway crash near College Park Road; debris on 17A near Moncks Corner; traffic light problems on Sam Ritt in West Ashley

A crash in the Charleston-bound lanes of Interstate 26 near College Park Road stalled traffic this morning.

State troopers responded to the wreck with injuries at 6:31 a.m., the Highway Patrol's Web site says. The scene is near mile marker 203 in Berkeley County.

Around 7 a.m., troopers also were directing traffic around debris in the roadway on U.S. Highway 17 A near S.C. Highway 6 in Moncks Corner, the site says. Around the same time, trooper also reported a problem with a traffic light at Sam Rittenberg Boulevard and Orange Grove Road in West Ashley.

that traffic light has been out since sunday

If people would quit rubber necking and mind their own business and keep moving the interstate would not get backed up
