Sip, stroll Every Wednesday through September, Middleton Place is hosting garden "Sip and Stroll" events. The cost is $10 per person and reservations are not required. This event is held 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Middleton Place, 4300 Ashley River Road, Charleston. For more info, call 556-6020. Circa ice cream Circa 1886 will announce the flavor that says "Charleston" on Friday. The flavor will then become a part of the Circa 1886's dessert menu through August. Wild Dunes The Lettered Olive has opened on the Village Plaza at Wild Dunes Resort. Serving breakfast (buffet and a la carte), lunch and dinner 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. daily with bar service until midnight. Prices range from $12 to $17 for a continental breakfast or breakfast buffet, sandwiches $8-$14, and dinner entrees are $22-$32. Hudson's Market Also located at Wild Dunes Resort, Hudson's serves soups, salads, sandwiches, kids menu and a dessert menu along with an assortment of items available by the pound, such as rib roast $19/pound, rotisserie chicken $10/pound, and salmon $15/pound. They also prepare cheese, fruit and salad trays. Great for resort guests and locals looking for a kitchen pass. Hudson's Market is open from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. Wild Dunes Resort is located at 5757 Palm Blvd., Isle of Palms. Festival tickets Tickets to the 2009 BB&T Food + Wine Festival go on sale Aug. 28. Bon Appetit, Ted Bon Appetit magazine (August 2008) selected the Top Ten Hot Spots for sandwiches, and local spot Ted's Butcherblock made the cut, taking the No. 3 position. They were selected for their artisanal bacon BLTs and their creative combination of Wagyu beef, blue cheese and caramelized onion sandwich. Tristan Tristan chef Aaron Deal highlights seasonal produce and local and exotic ingredients in his summer menu. Look for jicama relish, sunflower seed pistou, pickled wild shrimp, garlic lemon curd and heirloom tomatoes and squash. Summer, remember has all too "short a lease."
