America's favorite family (circa 2002) will return to prime time with a new variety show. Fox has ordered six episodes of the tentatively titled "The Osbournes: Loud and Dangerous," a new half-hour variety series hosted by Ozzy Osbourne, wife Sharon Osbourne and kids Jack and Kelly. The network says the series will combine musical performances, comedy sketches and game-show competitions. "The Osbournes" premiered on MTV in 2002 and pioneered the dysfunctional famous reality TV family genre that has turned its eye to clans fronted by the likes of Hulk Hogan and Gene Simmons in subsequent years. |
