Starbucks releases store closing list

Starbucks fans in the Charleston area — and most of South Carolina for that matter — can rest easy: The coffee giant is not closing any of its local cafes as part of a previously announced plan to shutter 600 locations.
In fact, just one Palmetto State store was on the hit list released Thursday by the Seattle-based company. It's on East Main Street in Spartanburg.
North Carolina is losing 10 locations. California will lose the most — 88.
The company curtailed its aggressive expansion plans as traffic and profits decline. It said the faltering economy is leading some consumers to stop buying pricey coffee. Starbucks is targeting unprofitable locations with the closings.

All the "Starbucksheads" at my job can breathe easier now. I swear they act like that place serves crack in a cup.

Stabucks = trendy, over priced brown water.

a perfect symbol of the shallow, self absorbed, front runner, weenies of the day. Stamp out Starbucks.

In Downtown Charleston, Kudu gets my money...even though I can walk to 4 other Starbucks within one mile.
