Charleston County to hold traffic meeting
Staff report
Tuesday, July 8, 2008
Charleston County will hold a public meeting tonight to gather comments on road construction to ease traffic congestion in North Charleston. The meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at Stall High School, 7749 Pinehurst St. in North Charleston. The plans call for a new road, Future Drive, to connect Palmetto Commerce Parkway to U.S. Highway 78 near Interstate 26. Also, the proposed extension of Northside Drive toward Ladson Road is planned to intersect with Future Drive. The new roads are meant to reduce congestion on Ladson, Dorchester and Ashley Phosphate roads. Future Drive and the Northside Drive extension also would provide access for future commercial and residential development on the old Ingleside Plantation near U.S. 78 and I-26. Funding for the road projects would come from Charleston County's half-cent sales tax for transportation projects.

Get rid of all the dope dealers and illegal aliens and traffic would ease up considerably in North Charleston...
