Skateboarding contest rescheduled for July 12

Because of bad weather, the Go Skateboarding Day event that was to be held at Continuum Skate Shop on June 21 has been rescheduled for 5-9 p.m. July 12 at the Charleston Visitor Center Bus Shed. Continuum, which opened in May at Spring and St. Philip streets, downtown, plans a free skateboard contest. The public event will include free food and music. Others participating include the nonprofit Pour It Now, Red Bull, b'zar, D'Allesandro's Pizza, Parrot Surf Shop, Cricket wireless and Point Break. Go to www.continuumskateshop.com or call 577-2758.
