Prize-winning author Toni Morrison will be in the Lowcountry later this month when the Toni Morrison Society holds its Fifth Biennial Conference in Charleston. With the theme "Toni Morrison and Modernism," the July 24-27 conference will be highlighted by Morrison's reading of excerpts from her new novel, "Mercy." The world-wide mission of the Morrison Society is to support the teaching, reading and critical examination of Morrison's works. For more on this story, see tomorrow's Post and Courier. |
