November trips to Boston College and Florida State on back-to-back weekends, plus a Thursday night game at Wake Forest in October, highlight Clemson's 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference football schedule. The ACC released the schedules for its 12 teams Friday, and the Tigers have the meat of their conference slate over a one-month stretch from Oct. 9 to Nov. 8 Clemson visits the Demon Deacons on Thursday, Oct. 9, in a game that will be televised nationally by ESPN. Then comes a home game against Georgia Tech on Oct. 18, followed by a Nov. 1 game at Boston College and a Nov. 8 trip to Florida State. Boston College has beaten the Tigers three straight times since its first year of ACC play in 2005. The Eagles claimed the Atlantic Division in 2007 by virtue of a 20-17 victory in Death Valley on Nov. 17. Clemson has beaten Florida State three straight years and four of the past five. Two years ago, the Tigers won in Tallahassee, Fla., for the first time since 1989. Clemson's conference schedule begins Sept. 13 at home against North Carolina State after an Aug. 30 game against Alabama at Atlanta's Georgia Dome and the Sept. 6 home opener against The Citadel. After a Sept. 20 home game against South Carolina State, the Tigers resume ACC play Sept. 27 against Maryland. From that point until a Nov. 15 visit from Duke, Clemson's only home game will be against Georgia Tech. Virginia is on the schedule for the first time since 2004. The Cavaliers play host to the Tigers on Nov. 22, a week before Clemson plays host to South Carolina in the regular season finale. The Tigers, who figure to be ranked in the Top 25 entering the season — and perhaps even in the Top 15 — will be seeking their first ACC title since 1991. Clemson finished 9-4 and ranked No. 21 last season. The Tigers went 5-3 in the conference and finished second in the Atlantic Division behind Boston College, which lost to Virginia Tech in the ACC title game.

No wonder it is a litle chilly this morning. Clemson actually scheduled a div I nonconference team. I know it must have been a hard choice for Bowden, Central Michigan, Furman, or Alabama. Maybe he finally realized that the ACC is weak and the only was for Clemson to get national attention is to drop these div II schools that Clemson has historically played.

notafan -And who is USC playing??? The junior college of SC is probably playing Hargrave or Fort Union so they can see how their 2008 class is doing or if the 2007 class is homesick. Recruit folks that can qualify. No wonder Spurrier is frustrated when players can not remember their assignments. When we see USC's schedule we can start forecasting the losses. Georgia and Florida will spank USC this year. Corso was right!!!! Tenn could be a close game since this is the last year for Pulmer. Maybe they can get by Vandy this year.

Thank god the chickens are in the sec ,if not what would they brag about .
My subdivision is the best in the country. My neighbor's house is huge. Other houses on my street are beautiful and no one has a house as nice as theirs. Every now and then one of the houses in my subdivision will win an award for nicest house in the nation.
Sure I live in a singlewide but you should see all the other houses. My address is #12 Bottom Dweller Drive, Columbia, SC. That's in the beautiful SEC Subdivision in case you don't know where it is.

I think the Cocks play UNC or NC State. Alabama/Clemson will be a great game. Looking forward to it; I wish we had more non-conference games like that. Congrats to Clemson for scheduling it and for playing Auburn in a few years also.

I agree with you on that I would much rather be playing a Alabama than a Temple .
