Updated 04:46 p.m., August 27, 2008 A swimmer at the beach on Isle of Palms who hadn't been seen since this morning has been found safe, according to Isle of Palms Fire Chief Ann Graham. About 10:30 a.m., when few people were on the beach, someone saw the woman walking into the ocean near the pier, Graham said. But later in the day, a pile of the woman's belongings could still be seen where she left them, with no identification or any car keys, Graham said. Rescuers had been searching the beach for the woman. |
