--Bernie Schein, educator and author of "If Holden Caulfield Were in My Classroom," will sign copies of his book following an address 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Citadel. --Kincaid Mills and Genevieve Peterkin, contributors to "Coming Through: Voices of a South Carolina Gullah Community from WPA Oral Histories," will sign copies of the book 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Preservation Society Book & Gift Shop downtown. --Lexington author D.L. Hart has published the historical novel "Empty Quiver!" --Former Summerville resident Carolyn Kingsley has published the historical romance "Upon the Robin's Breast," a story of Charleston set in the years 1875-1879. --Former New York Times science reporter Dava Sobel, author of "Longitude," will sign copies of her book following a discussion Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Alumni Memorial Hall at the College of Charleston. --
