ZZ Top coming to North Charleston
Keystone/Fabrice Coffrini
Lead singer and guitarist Billy F. Gibbons, right, and bass player Dusty Hill of U.S. rock group ZZ Top from Texas perform at the Auditorium Stravinsky during the last night of the 37th Montreux Jazz Festival, in Montreux, Switzerland, late Sunday, July 20, 2003.
Officials at The North Charleston Coliseum announced that legendary Texas boogie-and-blues band ZZ Top will play a June 8 show at The North Charleston Performing Arts Center. The multi-platinum selling band — guitarist and vocalist Billy Gibbons, bassist/keyboardist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard — was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2004. Tickets are $76 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 2 at the coliseum ticket office, all Ticketmaster outlets (including select Publix grocery stores), by phone at 554-6060 or online at ticketmaster.com.

Thanks for the "head's up". I was planning to go, but I also thought the price was pretty steep. I've seen them three times..in their "hey-day" and they weren't exciting even then, but I love the music....

I think their last trip to Charleston was a huge let down...and the tickets were a lot less then. I will pass on this visit.
