MOUNT PLEASANT — Employees at a business on Houston Northcutt Boulevard were robbed about 6 p.m. Thursday by two young men wearing dark, hooded sweatshirts. The men, one with a handgun, forced two employees of the Express Cash Advance into the back of the business in Patriots Plaza, said Mount Pleasant police Lt. Donald Quick. He said the robbers took the employees' personal belongings and an unknown amount of cash.

It could just as easily be a pair of over-indulged kids from right there in Mt. Pleasant, whose parents attempt to substitute money for parenting. It can happen when the cost of a drug habit exceeds an allowance.

Evidently, locating your business a couple blocks away from the police department is not much of a deterrent. I don't have much sympathy when thieves rob other thieves though.
