Accounting

Joe Beck has rejoined Jones Pounder & Associates PC to lead the firm's audit side. Previously, he worked for Dixon Hughes PLLC and one of its predecessor firms for two years. He has 17 years experience in public- and private-sector accounting.

Architecture

Aireen Bentley has joined Goff-D'Antonio Associates as an intern architect. She holds a degree in architecture and fine arts from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Previously, she worked for Van Der Architects in Tokyo.

Engineering

David A. Bordner has joined Berenyi Inc. as landscape architect intern. He is a student at Clemson University and holds an associate degree in horticulture from Trident Technical College.

Media

Josh Marthers has been promoted to News 2 morning meteorologist at WCBD-TV. He joined the station in May and previously worked as a weather forecaster in Roanoke, Va., and the Upstate. He holds bachelor's degrees in political science from the University of South Carolina-Upstate and in meteorology and geosciences from Mississippi State University.

Medical

Patricia Anderson has joined Hospice of Charleston as interim executive director. Previously, she worked for 20 years for HCA Healthcare, most recently as chief nursing office at Trident Regional Medical Center, and was a consultant. She holds degrees in nursing and a master's in public health from Johns Hopkins University. She succeeds Catherine "Kit" Cosgrove, who is now vice president of operations for Hospice of Dayton in Ohio.

Personal care

Bobbi Jo O'Neal has bought Simply Your Spa in West Ashley, and Christine Pazul, Danyiel Robinson and Lisa Osterkamp have joined the company.

O'Neal is a registered nurse. Pazul was a spa manager and skin care specialist on Hilton Head Island. Robinson is a massage therapist and nail tech, and has experience at high-end spa resorts. Osterkamp previously worked in private practice as a massage therapist and esthetician.

Publishing

Alicia Halyard, Mark Dudzinski, Joy Gilbert, Bethany Holt and Rosie Bridges have joined Arcadia Publishing of Mount Pleasant.

Halyard joins the customer service department.

Dudzinski and Gilbert are marketing specialists.

Dudzinski holds a degree in marketing management from Virginia Tech.

Gilbert holds a degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina. Previously, she worked for a public relations agency in Tucson, Ariz.

Holt is accounting assistant. Previously, she worked for Trident Technical College, where she obtained an associate degree in accounting.

Bridges is receptionist. Previously, she worked for 10 years for Braxton-Bragg Corp. in Knoxville, Tenn.

Real estate

Amy Black has joined the Coleman Boulevard office of Prudential Carolina Real Estate in Mount Pleasant. She is a graduate of the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is a manager for Half-Moon Outfitters.

Susan Walters and Noela Sharo have joined the downtown Summerville office of Agent-Owned Realty.
