Presidential hopefuls to visit Lowcountry

Two Republican presidential candidates plan to return to the Lowcountry this week. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will appear at the Sheraton Hotel at 4770 Goer Drive in North Charleston at 10:45 a.m. Thursday. On Saturday, U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas will hold a dutch-treat lunch and issues forum from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kelly's BBQ at 10475 U.S. Highway 78 in Summerville. Brownback held a similar event at a Mount Pleasant restaurant a few weeks ago. South Carolina will get a visit from a Democratic presidential contender Thursday. Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards will give the keynote speech at Spartanburg County's annual Democratic barbecue and rally at 7:30 p.m. at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.

hot dang mitt in the morning and plenty of time to get to the bar-b-que dinner with john in the evening to bad mitt aint offering brunch after all the way to a citizens vote is through his stomache......oh and by the way P&C how do you figure spartenburg is the lowcountry....it's the piedmont baby
