Coastal Carolina Corvette Club presents its Dog Days of Summer monthly Open Car & Truck show 5-8 p.m. The show will take place at the Texas Roadhouse and Super Kmart parking lot on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. Registration, to begin at 5 p.m., is $10. There will be 30 trophies awarded by class size, and Sponsor's Choice Best in Show. Classes will be motorcycles; sport compact; Mustangs; street rods; trucks; Rat Rods; and years 1900-62, 1963-71, 1972-89 and 1990-present. For more information, visit www.4cccc.com.

Tuesday

The Low Country Volkswagen Club will hold its monthly meeting at 6:45 p.m. at Stokes Volkswagen, 3491 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston. All Volkswagen owners and enthusiasts are welcome. For more information, visit www.lowcountryvw.org.

Aug. 18

Southern Mustang & Ford Club's monthly 2007 show series will be held at Hooters restaurant, 2171 Northwoods Boulevard, North Charleston. The show is open to all makes, models and years including rods, imports, cycles and trucks. Show car's cost is $10. Trophies for Hooters Choice Award, Hooters Girls' Best of Show. Aug. 22

Charleston-Lowcountry Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America will host its monthly car show 6-8:30 p.m.at Joe Bessingers Bar B Que on College Park Road in Summerville. Registration is $5. Classes include years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-72 and 1973-2008, Corvettes, imports, lowriders/tuners, motorcycles, Mustangs, street rods and trucks. Aug. 25

Sept. 1

A Fun-N-Sun Cruise-in sponsored by PACE (Palmetto Chevelles and El Caminos) Car Club of South Carolina will be noon to 3 p.m. at Northern Tools and Big Lot parking areas at Rivers and Aviation avenues. Wheels at the Beach sponsored by Myrtle Beach Car Club and Beach Boogie & BBQ, will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m at the former Myrtle Beach Air Base site off U.S. Highway 17 Business. Registration, 9 a.m.-noon, is $15. Judging will be 1-3 p.m. and awards at 3:30 p.m. Trophies for top 25 cars, Best of Show, Media Choice, People's Choice, Best Engine, Best Paint, Ladies Choice and Best Work in Progress. Sept. 5

Bessinger's BBQ at 1602 Savannah Highway will host an Open Car, Truck & Motorcycle show 6-9 p.m. Registration is $5. Categories include cars from years 1900-42, 1943-59, 1960-71 and 1972-2007; street rods, trucks and motorcycles. Three trophies per class.
