Beach memories from West Virginia
Your article “Beach Baby” from the July/sepust 2007 issue stirred such wonderful memories of my own children that I felt compelled to write you. At least once a year for the past 25 years my husband and our family have traveled from West Virginia to vacation in the Lowcountry. Like Evan, our 1-year-old daughter took her first wobbly steps in the sand and surf. For her it was love at first sight, as well as touch, smell and taste!
In April 2007 – 21 years later with her business degree in hand – our daughter has become a proud resident of the Lowcountry. She always knew she wanted to live in this enchanted part of our beautiful country. Already, she has a wonderful job and has made some lifelong friends. Thanks for sharing!
