
Post and Courier/Charleston.net Caddie Dream Job Contest
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2. Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Contest is open to residents of the state of South Carolina over the age of eighteen (18) with a computer and internet access. Employees of/by the Evening Post Publishing Co. d/b/a Post and Courier, Charleston.net, the LPGA, the Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
3.How To Enter. The Contest will begin at 12 a.m. (E.S.T.) on May 9, 2008 and end at 12 p.m. (E.S.T.) on May 19 (the “Contest Period”). There will be one (1) winner selected.
On-Line Entry: Enter at Charleston.net by completing an Official User Registration. Maximum one (1) entry per person. Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, or illegible entries. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.
In-Person Entry: There will be no in-person registration points available for this contest promotion.
4. Winner Selection. One (1) Winner will be selected for the contest in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received with the most correct answers by the entry deadline to be held on or about May 20, 2008.
5. Prizes and Odds. There will be one (1) Winner. The winner receives an official Post and Courier T-shirt during his/her Caddy Dream Job Experience, a sleeve of golf balls, tournament ball cap and two (2) weekly tickets, good all week. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
6. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail on May 20, 2008. Sponsor will call only twice during regular business hours at number provided on entry form and will leave no messages. Only one e-mail notification will be sent. Failure to reach winner during these calls and/or e-mail may result in disqualification of winner, forfeiture of his or her interest in all prizes, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Return of e-mail prize notification as undelivered may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law).
All Winners need to sign an affidavit that they are physically able to walk at least 9 of the 18 holes and can do so at the pace of the golfers. Winners will also sign an affidavit that states the event and the Post and Courier may stop the “caddying” session at any time if the winner can’t keep pace with the players and/or violates a set of published “caddy rules.” Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release, or to comply with any term or condition of the Official Rules, may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner.
Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.
7. Participation. By participating, entrants and subsequent winners agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Contest judges. Winners will be bound to the etiquette and rules observed as a Caddy during official tournament sanctioned by the LPGA. Failure to adhere to said rules will result in immediate termination of the Caddy Dream Job Experience and removal form the course. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of the Contest as solely determined by Sponsor.
In the event the Contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
8.Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
9.Sponsor. The Contest is sponsored by Evening Post Publishing, Inc. d/b/a Post and Courier, Charleston.net, the LPGA, and Ginn Tribute Hosted by ANNIKA. The decision of Sponsor and Contest judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in the Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest. 10. Additional Information. In addition to the Post and Courier T-shirt that will be provided, the Winner will be required to wear khaki skirt, shorts or slacks and tennis shoes. These additional items will not be provided by the Sponsor. A photograph may be taken during the Dream Job Caddy Experience, however, it is not guaranteed. No photographs are allowed to be taken once your round of golf has begun.
