Look out, Jack LeggettPosted 08:56 p.m., May 13, 2008 Word on the street is that Shipp Daniel, a Clemson alumnus and frequent assistant to sports information director Tim Bourret, is fashioning quite a reputation as a coach on the Little League baseball circuit in Dillon. Shipp's team, the Rangers, are 8-3 and two games up in their division with seven games to play. Shipp has obviously lit a fire under these 11- and 12-year-olds. If his promising career in law doesn't work out, he could have quite a fallback job as a college or major-league coach someday. Shipp pointed this stuff out on a stroll up to the press box a few minutes ago. I felt it necessary to write it so I could say I was the first to discover his genius. Or maybe I'm just laying the groundwork for some free legal advice when the need arises. LW |
